TRI SPORTS is taking to the tubes again for the most underrated trip of the year. The tubing trip is just one of those things you can't quite explain why it is such a great time, but it just IS! And, we'll camp out afterwards and do some BBQ and partying, well-beyond our water time. If you don't know what tubing is, it's plopping your butt in an innertube and floating down a river for 4 hours. You put your cooler and beverages in an innertube next to you, and you've got all you need: sun, fun, beverages, squirt gun, propulsion, and bathing suit. This is a very affordable trip which ranks highest on the Fun-to-Cost chart. You'll LOVE this. Everybody does!

When: 8/3-8/5/07 What: Tubing the Dan River, followed by BBQ, Campfire & Overnight Camping Where: The Dan River - Eden, NC Info, Maps & Directions - Click Here Details: We depart for the Dan River on Friday afternoon, and arrive early evening (everyone arranges their own transportation). Unload, unpack and set up camp. Friday night will be all campfires, BBQs, and partying. Saturday morning, we'll strap our beer/pop coolers to the inner tubes, strap our tubes together and depart on a 4-hour float of crazy-fun of drunken proportions. Water balloons, water guns, masks & fins; nothing is barred from this water-soaked battle of the fittest. Difficult to explain, but if you've ever been tubing, you know exactly how much fun this is. It's kinda like a 4-hour slip-n-slide, with beverages. Once we've gotten to the end of the river, we'll head back over to the campground and fire-up the grills. Grillin', campfire, s'mores, and all that good stuff will follow in traditional camping fashion. It's going to be a great trip! For those who'd prefer to return after the tubing portion of the trip and skip the camping, you're welcome to do that as well (although you'd better be sober). Either way, it'll be GREAT! Campers need to provide their own camping gear (tent, sleeping bags, food for dinner/grillin', etc.).
